Who We Are

My name is Becky Pickett, and I am the owner of the local Home Helpers and Direct Link of Greer.  After living in this area all my life, I noticed how many families could appreciate a helpful hand.  I started this Home Helpers office in February 2008 in order to provide Seniors, New Moms and Working Parents, and those needing Recuperative Care and/or Continuing Care services in our community with the best care possible.  Our employees live in the areas we serve and love taking care of their neighbors.

All of our caregivers are carefully screened, fully background checked, and bonded for your peace of mind.  I hire only people that I would trust to take care of my own family members.  We carefully work with clients and families to ensure we match caregivers to their specific needs and preferences.

Not only am I passionate about serving clients, but I'm also passionate about serving our community.  As an active member of the Greer Chamber of Commerce, Greer Station Association, and Woodland Elementary School PTA, I truly enjoy working with people.  My strong faith and community spirit led me to begin this new career.  My mission is simply to provide the very best care available and to improve the lives of each client we have the privilege to work with.  My husband, Jim, and I are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters, Jessica Hope and Olivia Grace, and we love living in Greer.

Home Helpers and Direct Link of Greer primarily serves the small towns between Greenville and Spartanburg because we believe in our small town communities and the people that live there.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

With Hope and Grace,

Becky Pickett

Another client's note - Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Dear Becky,

Wanted to thank you for the many kindnesses you extended to my Mother and our family during her illness.  Mary was truly a blessing.  She and Mom got along so well - I think that it surprised my Mother that Mary really cared about her and that it just wasn't a job.

The beautiful plants you brought to the house made her home look so much happier - I was glad my sister could see it that way.

You will never know how great it was for me to know that everything in her world would be OK during the hours of 9 - 5.

I will share your name with anyone who needs help with a loved one.  I'm so glad Jim told me about Home Helpers.

Again, sincere thanks,

Karen

From Our Very First Client: - Wednesday, December 31, 2008

Dear Becky,

I want to thank you for the excellent home health care you provided to my parents during the past ten months. You kept in contact with us to assess our needs and to meet those needs to our satisfaction.

The professional quality of your caregivers was wonderful. They were always prompt and dependable. But most of all they showed an extraordinary compassion, kindness, understanding and love to my parents. They, and you, became a valuable part of our family. My parents' physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional needs were met each time your caregivers came into the house. Their mood was brightened as they laughed and joked with Sue. Her hugs showed them that she truly cared. She went beyond the expected as she did those "little extras" to help make life easier for my parents and for me.

How could we have made it without you?!?  As they move into an Assisted Living facility, we will truly miss you and Sue. But the love continues as we still keep in touch - what a great bond has developed. I will continue to sing your praises to others who face similar needs in the care of their loved ones.

With gratitude,

Mary and family
