We are your Home Helpers Team. Our own family has dealt with long-term, disabling diseases and found we were unable to manage all of the specific needs that our family members had. It was just as difficult finding the right care givers to relieve some pressure off of us. That led us to Home Helpers. We felt it was our destiny to open a location and show families it does not have to be as upsetting for them as it was for us. We felt we could absolutely do something to help others and have them benefit from our own personal experiences.
We are a family operated business and available for YOUR family 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are fully licensed by the State of Illinois, correctly insured with comprehensive liability and workers compensation insurance. Our caregivers are bonded and have had complete criminal background checks, including the National Sex Offender Registry and the Illinois State Police. Our caregivers receive extensive training and continuing education. This is provided by our nurse on staff, Carol Penn RN, MSN; she just happens to be our Mom.
We do all this because we truly care and want to give something back by serving our community. We provide services ranging from having a full-time, live-in caregiver at your home to as little as three hours per week. We will work with you depending on what you and your family need.
Our clients are individually assessed and a plan of care is tailored for their specific needs. We realize this is a very emotional time and that you are faced with challenges that seem insurmountable. We will be there to help walk you through the process just when you need it the most!
