• Seniors  Providing a safe and affordable way to remain active and independent in the comfort of your own home.  Just some of the services we provide are bathing, dressing, feeding, grocery shopping, transportation, meal preparation, medicine reminders and companionship.  And we're Rated #1 in Senior Care.
•  Recuperative Care  Helping patients recover from illness or injury so you can get the rest needed and resume normal activities as soon as possible.  We'll help with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, transportation to doctors appointments and more.  Our caregivers can also assist with mobility exercises.
• Continuing Care  Assisting those with special needs, such as Alzheimer's, dementia, arthritis, hospice care, Parkinsons's, multiple sclerosis, cystic fibrosis as well as other mential and physical challenges.  Our caregivers provide the same care, concern and compassion a family member would.
• New & Expecting Moms  Giving an extra hand around the house when you need that much-needed relief, inlcuding light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.

My name is Kristin Shute, and I am the owner of the local Home Helpers and Direct Link office in Allendale, NJ.   I have been a long time resident of Bergen County and my husband and his family lived here for over fifty years.  I look forward to lending a helping hand to local families by offering support for Seniors, New/Expecting Moms and those needing Recuperative Care and Continuing Care.  Many of our employees live in Bergen County and are passionate about taking care of their neighbors.

I was inspired to go into the Homecare business after caring for my mother during an extended illness.  I experienced first hand how difficult it is to care for a parent while managing my own family and career.  The emotional and physical strength it takes can be overwhelming.  I also saw many friends struggle to find quality home care and support for their aging loved ones.    

All of our caregivers are carefully screened, background checked, and bonded for your peace of mind.  I only hire caregivers that I would trust to take care of my own family members.  I work closely with clients and believe in caring for each client as if they are part of my own family. 

I am passionate about serving my clients and their families and I am passionate about the community.  I am a board member at Archer Cooperative Nursery School here in Allendale and enjoy giving back to the wonderful group of people that have enriched the lives of my two children.  I have always enjoyed working with people – from my background as a bank manager to my experience in sales and marketing within the healthcare industry – meeting and connecting with people has always been gratifying.
