We are a family owned and operated business understanding that a helping hand in a time of need is priceless. Our goal is to treat your family member as one of our own and give them the respect and care that they deserve. We are licensed by the state of Illinois Department of Public Health as well as fully insured with liability comprehension and workers compensation.

 

All of our caregivers are bonded and have been screened with a criminal background check including the National Sex Offenders registry and the Illinois state police. We feel it is not only important to provide the best care, but we also want to provide a good working environment for our caregivers. Once on board as an employee all of our caregivers are enrolled in our continuing education program and training, this not only benefits our caregivers, but our clients as well.

 

Our services range from full time, live-in care to having a caregiver in your home for as little as one hour per week. We do not have a minimum hour requirement and we will personalize your caregiving for you and your family on a one-on-one basis. Our goal is to make life’s transitions as easy as possible for your entire family.

Continuing Care Minimize

If you have a family member or loved one with special needs, we know that finding quality, in-home care is challenging and can often be overwhelming. Rest assured, many of our Caregivers have training and experience in specialty care areas such as Alzheimer's, dementia, arthritis, hospice care, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, mental and physical challenges and others. We provide our services with the same care, concern and compassion as a family member.

Recuperative Care Minimize

Recovering from an illness or injury can take time; anywhere from a few days or weeks to several months or even longer. Home Helpers gives you some extra help and peace of mind so you can relax, get the rest you need and get back to your normal activities as soon as possible. We’ll help with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, transportation to your doctor’s office and much more. Our Caregivers can assist with mobility exercises as prescribed by a doctor as well as supplement the care given by family members, physical therapists, occupational therapists or other rehabilitative aides. We’re available for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks – whatever you need.

New Moms Minimize

Bringing your new baby home from the hospital is an exciting time – and you’ll have your hands full! You’ll need extra help and Home Helpers is ready to give you that much-needed relief. While you take care of your new baby, we’ll care for you and your family. Light housekeeping, laundry, running errands, picking up prescriptions and preparing meals are just a few of the things we do. Use our services for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks.

We don't only think of our clients as family, we think of our community as our family as well. Being that my wife is a diabetic, we raise money for charities such as the American Diabetes Association, we sponsor many other fund raising events that benefit our community. We are also proud members of our local Chambers of Commerce. Home Helpers Gave us time to catch our breath - Thursday, February 25, 2010

 

The team at Home Helpers were amazing. They responded to my call within 30 minutes after I called at 9:30pm. They offered to come to my house that night, but I just needed them the next day. They listened to what we needed for my mother and promtly placed Lauren (caregiver) in my mothers house. She has been nothing but an angel with my mother and we could not be happier.

Great Service - - Friday, February 05, 2010

I am not the easiest person to deal with most days. I have been dealing with a disablilty all my life and realized I need some help with just some basic day to day things. I didnt want to move out of my home or have someone there all the time. Home Helpers built a program that helped me stay at home without having someone there all day. They have been very creative in helping me meet my daily goals.
