Hello, thank you for visiting our web site. My wife, Melissa and I own and operate the northwest Home Helpers office in the greater Phoenix area. We are proud to serve the Sun Cities, Surprise, Peoria, Glendale and North Phoenix.
The services we provide at Home Helpers are dear to our hearts since we experienced the stress of family caregiving in our own lives. Melissa and I have come to realize that who you are in life is not about avoiding problems or challenges, but it is all about confronting the unexpected. When it comes to aging and our health, we are always challenged since our daily lives are like entering uncharted waters.
Before Home Helpers, I spent twenty-six years running a successful family business in the gasoline and convenience store industry. Our family business motto was "Customer Service is Our Business" and we bring that same customer service to our Home Helpers business but with a twist. We have incorporated our new motto, "Making Life Easier", while still offering outstanding customer service. Our mission is to assist individuals and families while relieving the stress of their daily lives and ease the burden of unforseen challenges when it comes to caring for family around the clock. In other words, make life easier for the entire family. Having delt with this first hand in our own family, we know that family caregiving is our responsibility and very important. It is a natural part of family life but the dynamics of caring for a loved one have changed over the years and will continue to change as life-expectancy increases. Who has enough time in the day? How can we keep up with the stress of daily life, our jobs, running the kids to soccer, picking up the dry cleaning, finishing the last minute homework assignment that our child forgot about, cleaning the house for the dinner party, balancing the check book and then offering needed assistance to mother who is recovering from surgery. Once we've spent our energy and come to the end of the day, we turn around and start it all over again the next day. Our generation is dealing with challenges never before seen in society. There is no wonder undue stress and burden is placed on the average family when a health issue occurs.
After experiencing the challenges of family caregiving with our loved ones, we recognized the need for quality care and assistance options. Think about it, our health is so unpredictable. We can experience health issues in our 40's or 50's or maybe not until our 80's or 90's. This randomness can lead to stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and illness. Let alone jeopardizing our career, income, marriage, savings and even our own health. Take it from experience, we can't keep our sanity unless we balance our lives and our responsibilities. It is important to realize we don't have to do it all ourselves. Medical advancements and technology has increased our caregiving responsibilities beyond natural levels and our own abilitiy to cope alone.
Home Helpers provides non-medical in-home care for seniors, recuperative, respite and continuing care for families dealing with daily challenges. We also provide respite for new mothers with multiple births who may need a good night sleep once a week.
Recent Senior Care research indicates that seniors who live at home extend their life span an average of six years longer and have better quality of life. What an incredible statistic for our loved one to live a longer, better life! This type of information inspires us to dedicate and provide the services that enable seniors to stay in their homes as long as possible without having to enter an assisted living facility.
With our business background in customer service and special training in Elder Care, Personal Care, Alzheimer's Care, CPR and First Aid, you and your loved ones will receive excellent care and companionship with Home Helpers. We commit to caring for our clients as if we are caring for our own family members and this directly involves the people we hire. Our caregivers are thoroughly screened, bonded and insured. Serving our clients is our passion, but we are also passionate about serving our community.
