Hello, my name is George Jones.  Since moving to the Ventura County/West LA County region in 1979, I witnessed how many families appreciate a compassionate person who helps to make their life easier.  To that end, I opened the Home Helpers office in our community. 

Home Helpers was founded in 1997 and has been named #1 in Senior Care in North America for the past four years since 2006 and "Best of the Best" by Entrepreneur Magazine, helps Seniors, New Mothers and Families, those recuperating from illness and injury, and those with lifelong challenges needing continuing care to live independently. 

As a Certified Senior Advisor with special awareness of 21 areas pertaining to health, financial and social issues, and a 28 year background in personal family issues, from end-of-life planning to professional money management for seniors, rest assured you and your loved ones will receive excellent care and companionship with Home Helpers. I believe in caring for clients as if I were caring for members of my own family.  My caregivers are employees, not contract workers.  They are bonded, insured, trained and are carefully screened including criminal background checks and employment history.  We follow all laws and do everything by the book.  Our compassionate caregivers are chosen based on experience and aptitude to meet the specific needs of each unique client. We respect and maintain total client privacy and confidentiality.

Not only am I passionate about serving clients, but my deep commitment to serving my community and making this region a better place to live for nearly 30 years has included the following: former six year Board Member of a Ventura County Regional Hospital, former Board member Casa Pacifica Home for Abused and Neglected Children, former Board Member of Community Conscience, Original Board Member of the New West Symphony, Junior Achievement advisor, Past president of the Westlakers Service Club which provides scholarships to students, Past president of North Ranch Country Club and current member of Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce, Camarillo Chamber of Commerce and Malibu Chamber of Commerce. 

Other community involvement includes current Board Member, Alliance for the Arts.  While serving in 1998 as Founders Chairman for two years at the Alliance, 24 founders and $6,000,000 was raised bringing arts programs to seniors and children of our community.  Additionally I founded, and chaired for nine years, a golf tournament at Sherwood Country Club  which raised over $1,000.000 or 31 charities and non-profits further benefitting seniors and children in our counties.  These community services in the region resulted in my receiving a Mayoral Commendation. 

Margaret "Peg" Lane, CNA, RN, MS, MHA has lived in this area as an active citizen as well for over 35 years and is also our Advisor. She has managed other nurses and Case Managers and has done just about everything there is to do in the nursing profession. Although we are a non-medical recouperative care provider, it sure an asset to have an experienced nurse on staff.  My wife, Patricia Jones has also served our community and region for years as President and Executive Director of Alliance for the Arts since 1995 and has her MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu.

Our family loves this part of California and truly enjoys doing our part in giving back to make life easier and more enjoyable for seniors and families who live here.
