Home Helpers' experienced, dependable Caregivers truly enjoy helping others. They are trustworthy, compassionate people who have been carefully selected and thoroughly screened.
Unlike some agencies that use subcontractors, our Caregivers are employees who are screened and covered by workers’ compensation insurance. We do this to ensure our clients are fully protected.
In addition, many of our caregivers have training and experience in specialty care areas such as Alzheimer's, dementia, arthritis, hospice care, mental and physical challenges and others.

Once hired, each experienced Caregiver is matched to the individual needs of our clients, based on the information gathered during the FREE in-home consultation. The in-home consultation is very important and accomplishes the following:
- Properly assesses the client’s needs
- Makes sure services can be safely and properly performed in the home
- Matches the client’s needs and personality to an experienced caregiver with the necessary skills to provide the very best care and companionship
At Home Helpers, every client relationship is managed by an experienced supervisor who will make ongoing assessments and recommendations as the client’s needs change over time.

Home Helpers Caregiver of the Quarter
Congratulations to Mike and Mary Doepke of Chicago, Illinois, for submitting the winning nomination for Caregiver of the 2nd Quarter 2010 – Mira Warda.
Mira exemplifies the Home Helpers Vision to be the extended family when family can’t be there. She recently was the primary caregiver for a woman named Margaret, whose children did not live nearby. Mira became the “eyes and ears” for the client’s family – baking food to bring to Margaret, comforting her when she was anxious and communicating concerns to both the Home Helpers office and the client’s family when necessary.
Mira was with Margaret the night she passed away peacefully in her own bed. At Margaret’s funeral last month, the family made a special point of recognizing Mira and her special relationship with their mother.
“As Home Helpers owners, this is the goal that we strive for,” said the Doepkes. “Clearly, Mira Warda is an exceptional caregiver and we are proud of her achievements as our Home Helpers employee. She is definitely worthy to be named Home Helpers Caregiver of the 2nd Quarter.”
